The Centre has two large purpose built rooms, a quiet area and large outside play area complete with a bike riding track and sand pit.
At the official opening today attended by 100 guests including staff members, students and parents Federal Member for Chifley Ed Husic welcomed the Seventh-day Adventist Greater Sydney Conference investment in the schools expansion.
Mountain View Adventist College is a great contributor to our community and this is such a tremendous investment in the skills and development of local students, Mr Husic said.
So many kids from all different backgrounds are brought together here and the continued investment in the school will help make a difference in their education.
Im also impressed that the school extension focused on both mental and physical activity in young students from new rooms to new play areas, very important.
This year Mountain View Adventist College received recognition from the Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority for significant improvement in educational outcomes, with above average gains in Literacy and Numeracy.
Principal Mrs Jenny Gibbons said: We are excited about this project and increasing our colleges ability to provide further educational experiences for the children of Western Sydney.
