Federal Member for Chifley Ed Husic is inviting all local seniors to join him for his annual free Seniors Forum and Morning Tea on Monday, 16 May 2016.
The forum is a free, informative event that will educate locals on the range of services available to Chifley seniors with guest speakers from local community organisations including the Department of Human Services, the Mount Druitt and Area Community Legal Centre, and other organisations.
This forum and morning tea aims to celebrate and support projects that bring older people and the community together to promote positive, active ageing in NSW.
Seniors do so much for our local community, particularly through their volunteering efforts and we benefit greatly from their full participation in community life, Mr Husic said.
Our complimentary seniors packs will also include important information about how the 2016 Budget will impact individual seniors on a local level.
I hope to see many of Chifleys seniors attend this forum to hear from the experts about the issues that are important to them.
