Federal Member for Chifley Ed Husic is calling for nominations for the 2015 Chifley Volunteer Awards.
Mr Husic said the annual Chifley Volunteer Awards are an opportunity to recognise the valuable contribution made by volunteers in our community.
Our community is made better by the hard work of those who selflessly volunteer their time to worthy local causes, Mr Husic said.
They are the heart and soul of our community and their work often goes without thanks.
Thats why I strongly encourage those who may know somebody, who dedicates their time to promote or benefit our local community, to nominate them so that they can be recognised and thanked for their efforts.
Nominations are open to individuals, or teams of individuals, who reside in the Chifley electorate.
Nominations should be received by 5pm, Friday 13 November 2015 with awards to be presented at a special ceremony on Thursday 19 November.
