Diwali is the Hindu festival of lights and symbolises the spiritual "victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance”. During the festival, celebrants illuminate their homes, temples and workspaces with diyas (oil lamps), candles and lanterns.

Nominations close on Sunday, 27 October and judging of the Diwali decorations and lights will take place between Monday, 28 October and Thursday 31 October – 8pm to 10pm. Once you have entered your details, please ensure your lights are on during this judging time.
