Last month, Colebee residents were hit hard by a fixed line network and mobile network outage that happened at the same time, massively impacting local communications.

In this day and age, households depend heavily upon reliable broadband service - it’s become as valued as electricity or water supply. 

Via social media, I worked to keep residents updated on repair work. However it took days for the network to come back online.

During this outage Colebee residents raised with me their concerns about mobile network reliability, limited retail service provider options, and the quality of telecommunications services. 

Since then I’ve raised these issues directly with telecommunications providers, passing on your views for improved service and performance. 

I promised to bring residents together with telco firms to help deal with these issues - and that’s why I’m hosting a Colebee Telco Forum, so you can share your experiences, and hear about what is being done to address ongoing network issues.
